Restormel Castle

Restormal castle lies by the river Fowey near Lostwithiel. It is one of the four chief Norman castles of Cornwall, the others being Launceston, Tintagel and Trematon. The castle is notable for it’s perfectly circular design. It commands fantastic views and is a favourite picnic spot.

During the summer there are outdoor theatre performances which are great way to spend a sunny evening as you are entertained in the lovely grounds with the castle ruins as a back drop.
